NFL Players Start Season Off with a Fist and Kneel, Kaepernick Tweets his Support

Continued controversy from a sitting president who continues to incite division within the NFL  has not stopped black players from exercising there right to protest and freedom of speech. In Miami, Kenny Stills and two other Dolphins players protested during the anthem before their 26-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins furthered the conversation on the NFL protest without even speaking. Last week during the franchises media availability, Jenkins explained to journalists the reasoning behind why athletes like Colin Kaepernick chose to take a knee, by writing it on giant white poster boards. I’m Happy the Philadelphia Eagles Won the Super Bowl, but I Refused to Watch It. This season, however, I took a complete break from watching the NFL and, as a result, missed the game entirely.
