Clippers are continuing to struggle to get wins. They only shot 35% from the field and made nine of 41 three-pointers from deep. Paul George is in a slump as he only scored 12 points, he said his legs felt “heavy.”

Inglewood Approves L.A. Clippers Arena

On Tuesday the Inglewood City Council voted unanimously to approve the sale of publicly-owned property to the developers of the Los Angeles Clippers’ new arena.
Murphy’s Bowl LLC is the company that will develop the Inglewood Basketball and Entertainment Center (IBEC). Murphy’s Bowl can purchase the property for the total price of $66.25 million. The price will be shared among several local entities, including Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the Inglewood Unified School District, and the City of Inglewood.

The decision was made out of respect for the Lakers organization, which is deeply grieving the tragic loss of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

The much-anticipated Lakers versus Clippers Christmas Day game was an old-fashioned showdown between two teams that share the same home court in STAPLES Center. It came down to the wire in front of a star-studded crowd that included comedian Kevin Hart and actor Anthony Anderson, but ultimately a few costly turnovers and questionable fouls erased the Lakers 15-point lead to give the Clippers the edge, 111-106.

Disruptive Clippers Beat Lakers on Opening Night

The Los Angeles Clippers used their depth and defense to earn a statement 112-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers during their seasoning opener on Tuesday. The Clippers poured in 60 points, each active reserve scoring in the double digits. The Clippers also pushed the pace, scoring 22 fast break points to the Lakers’ five.

  LA Clippers forward-center Montrezl Harrell has been fined $25,000 for directing inappropriate language toward a fan, it was announced Tuesday by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 7:57 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ 130-120 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb. 11 at Target Center.
