Crenshaw Defeats Locke 38-0

The Crenshaw Cougars football team secured their first Coliseum League victory when they defeated the Locke Saints 38-0. Both teams now have a 2-6 overall record.

Washington Prep Routs Jordan 55-0

The Washington Generals attacked hard on offense, defense, and special teams to secure a 55-0 win over the Jordan Bulldogs. The victory gives Washington Prep a 4-2 overall record and Jordan now has a 5-2 overall record in their first Metro league loss.

National Football Foundation Awards Dorsey Football Players

Dorsey senior football players Joshua Coleman and Mychai Williams were recently honored by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, John Ferraro Los Angeles Chapter. The organization hosted its 58th annual Scholar Athlete Award Banquet at Sofi Stadium; all the student athletes and their families got a tour of the stadium. The honorees were presented plaques in the Rams’ and Chargers’ locker rooms.

Student Athlete of the Week: Chris Petit

King/Drew senior Christopher Petit has been on the Varsity baseball team for four years. His talent and effort helped the Golden Eagles dominate the Coliseum League and reach the semifinals in the Division III City Section Playoffs.

Student Athlete of the Week: Aammarah Gage

Crenshaw junior Aammarah Gage is the captain of the Cougars’ track and field team. As she strives to improve her sprinting and hurdling, she learned how to manage the different personalities on the team so they can better themselves.

Dorsey Falls to Orthopaedic in Playoffs

The contending season of the Dorsey softball team came to an end on Thursday when they lost 19-4 to the Orthopaedic Vipers in the first round of the Division III City Section Playoffs. The Donnas end their season with an 8-2 overall record.
