Born and raised in Pasadena, Brandon Lamar is running for Pasadena City Council District #3, a position he ran for last year and got 41% of the vote, according to Lamar.
Here is a look at three community leaders, all 35 or younger, who are ready to take on the challenge of leadership and are primed to be the next generation of long-term leadership within the African American community and beyond.
Community activist and event organizer Brandon Lamar had a vision to bring the many generations of Pasadena’s Black community together to talk about how collectively they could work to build a better and stronger Pasadena. On Saturday, April 1, that vision became a reality when almost 200 community residents gathered to share insight and work together.
