Kirkland Keeping Busy Since Retiring as Bishop

  It’s been nearly three years since the Right Rev. T. Larry Kirkland, Sr. retired as an AME bishop after 55 years of ministry, but his schedule remains as busy as ever. A powerful preacher and insightful teacher, Kirkland is frequently invited to deliver sermons at churches throughout Southern California as well as in other parts of the country. Holy Week, Resurrection Day Services Set at Agape-LA

Bishop Craig A. Worsham and the members of Agape Church of Los Angeles will host three Holy Week services in their worship center located at Consolidated Plaza, 3725 Don Felipe Dr., in Los Angeles. A life dedicated to faith, family and community has ended for longtime Los Angeles resident Dorothy Cobb Wheeler, who passed away on May 27 at the age of 77. Inspired by her love for God and concern for all people, Dorothy devoted her first career to assisting residents as part of the LAPD Wilshire and Pacific Division’s Community Relations Office.
