Have you ever forgiven someone who has yet to own up to their offense; who have never apologized? That can be a hard pill to swallow! I have heard many commentaries and discussions about forgiveness. The Bible records in Matthew 18:22 that Jesus instructed the church to forgive “seventy times seven.” Scholars say this is the symbol of boundlessness. However, if some people continue to offend time after time, what are we to do? Well, I’ll say it this way, if you continue to stand in the middle of the road shouting “stop in the name of love” to some

Christians, it’s time to change the contemporary church playbook. Yes, good preaching and good singing is well and good, but true worship must become the top priority and intentional. You took the high road, made a sacrificial choice, and seemed to lose while the other person played dirty – was unfair, dishonest, and deceitful, and consequently benefitted from it. I’m talking about evil behavior that drained your pocketbook; the kind of mischief that made you weep – lies, plots and fabrications that caused you repeated sleepless nights on your therapeutic mattress. This is such a big deal to God that He wrote about it in the Bible. Have you ever wondered why God instructs us to not be envious of the prosperity or the advancement of the wicked (Psalms 37:9)?
Jesus! There is so much identity theft taking place these days. According to two recent studies, about seven million people became victims of identity theft over a 12-month period. That calculates to 19,178 per day, 799 per hour, and 13 per minute! It is also reported that it takes victims an average of 600 hours to recover from this crime; often over a period of years. Some suggested preventive measures for identity theft include: limiting the amount of confidential information carried in your wallet; carrying no more blank checks than needed; keeping home files of bank and credit card accounts
To the youth readers, I say, “Hello, young leaders! I pray that your year is off to an exceptional start!” I would like to continue to encourage you all as you start your new 2019 endeavors with a scripture that I’ve had to firmly stand on so many times before, especially when I had to make insightful and calculated decisions. As it states in James 1:5, “If any of us lack wisdom, we should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to us.” I often thought you had to be a grandmother
