BHERC Plans African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase

The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will hold its 27th Annual African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase on Jan. 14-22, 2022. The hybrid event will feature more than 100 short films curated from 900 US and international entries. Entries also being accepted for the 12th Annual BHERC Youth Diversity Film Festival

BHERC Plans 2021 Faith-based and Inspirational Film Festival

The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) is now accepting submissions for the 2nd Annual BHERC Faith-Based & Inspirational Film Festival (FBIFF). The Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 26, and will be a hybrid in-person and online event following all public health regulations active.  BHERC will share details about the Festival’s venue footprint and in-person event structure in the future. The organization aims to produce a safe and accessible film festival that meets COVID safety guidelines. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2021. President Sandra Evers-Manly Talks About BHERC Complete Program for the 26th Annual African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase Oct. 23 to Nov. 29, 2020

Ms. Sandra J. Evers-Manly is president of the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC), and former president of the Beverly Hills/Hollywood NAACP in Los Angeles, California. Evers-Manly is the cousin of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers. She is author of the book “Raided Up By Mrs. Manly and Her L’s” and ardent philanthropist and recent member of the 2020 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy.
