Fremont Baseball Outlasts Dorsey, Clinches Playoff Berth

The Dorsey baseball team endured a tough season and their final home game was no different. Despite earning runs in earlier innings, the Dons lost to the Fremont Pathfinders 6-10. The matchup was senior day for Dorsey as they honored seven players: Elijah Dobson, Korey LaFlora, Elijah Moses, Nolan Smith Robinson, Ozabe Banks, Terry Burton, and Samuel Spann. West Point sophomore wide receiver Jordan Blackman uses his intellect to be a competitive force on the field. His skills made him a standout during his high school years with the St. Genevieve Valiants. As a senior, his contributions on offense and defense aided the Valiants to a 11-2 overall record. As a corner, he made 50 solo tackles, 15 pass deflections, and six interceptions. May 9 marks the fourth consecutive year that the View Park Knights softball team reached the playoffs. This season presents a new challenge to the program as they were upgraded to division I competition. View Park finished their season with a contending 11-4 overall record and a 10-0 Coliseum League record. An adoring crowd of young people, parents, community members and basketball lovers filled the auditorium at the Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools to greet NBA star and alumni Allen Crabbe on March 20. The audience gathered to witness the official naming of the Youth Activity Center court after Crabbe, who attended FKCP from the age of 12-weeks-old to his high school graduation.   In addition, the Brooklyn Nets player donated a significant amount last year to keep the institution operating in South Los Angeles.
