Yes, your miracle is on its way! Think only “miracle.” See only “miracle.” It may come in a short time or a very long time.

Who is sacrificing for you to receive this miracle? Don’t give in. Don’t give up! If you want something from the Lord — something supernatural, something only the Almighty can perform — there is preparation required before it comes.

You might ask, “What do I have to do?” Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord, your God, and your Savior. Be focused on what you are asking from the Lord. The Scriptures tell us not to be double-minded, for then we are like waves of the sea, tossed to and fro.

In Daniel 10, a revelation was given to Daniel. He had asked and wanted to know what would happen to his people in the last days. Before he received an answer, he mourned for three weeks. During this time, he refrained from eating highly seasoned food, meat, or wine, and he did not anoint himself (whatever special preparations that entailed, he didn’t do it). One might say, “That’s a big request.” Yes, it was. But is there anything too hard for God to perform? No, nothing.

Daniel was by the side of the great river Tigris, likely contemplating what he had asked of the Lord Jehovah. What happened next was astonishing. A certain man appeared, angelic in appearance and glorious. His face was like lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude. Only Daniel saw the vision, though the men with him were struck with terror and fled to hide.

Should you expect such an astonishing response to your prayer? This advocate — this messenger — is commonly believed to have been the preincarnate Christ. Daniel felt weak and frail, but the figure touched him and said, “Do not fear, O Daniel, you are greatly loved.” This messenger came because of Daniel’s words but was delayed for 21 days due to a conflict with the prince of the kingdom of Persia. Michael, one of the chief princes, came to assist in the heavenly battle.

The messenger brought Daniel the answer to his prayers and his concerns for his people. Now let’s reflect on these verses. Daniel was a man of prophetic righteousness who served the one true God. To prepare for your miracle, cleanse yourself. Stop old ways. Seek God as purely as possible. Be serious and genuine when approaching the Almighty. Follow Him. No, you don’t have to be perfect, but don’t be double-minded, serving other gods. Confess only Jesus Christ. Avoid greed, hatred, and other harmful behaviors.

When you pray, believe and expect a miracle. A miracle is something you cannot accomplish on your own—something spectacular, supernatural, and beyond human ability. Your miracle happens without explanation, and when you look up, it’s already done. You know it’s a miracle because it just happens.

As a result of Daniel’s faith, he was granted insight into prophecies that would unfold over many years. His genuine desire to know and help his people was honored. What does your miracle look like? What are you asking for? Our Creator is righteous, all-knowing, all-seeing, and omnipresent. Expect great things from our great God. Ask Him. I believe He will do it for you.

Remember Solomon? He asked for wisdom, and God gave him not only what he asked for but also wealth beyond measure. Ask in humility, not merely for gold and riches. God’s wealth exceeds material possessions. To know Him is the greatest treasure.

Recall what the disciples said to the man who begged for silver and gold: they gave him much more than he asked for — they gave him a restored and renewed body. He no longer had to beg.

Kill the dragon! Slay the interferences that want to block your miracles. Believe. Slay the dragon of negative thoughts. Slay the dragon that tells you you’ll never receive what you’re asking for. Stop listening to people who sow jealousy and negativity in your path. Slay the dragon!
