“Vaccinate now” is the mandate from Los Angeles-area federal, state and local elected officials, who united on August 12 to implore African Americans and Latinos to receive the shot to counteract the latest surge in COVID-19 infections.
The project is comprised of 54 converted shipping containers to create 16 two-bedroom units.
On Wednesday, July 21, L.A. City Councilmember Curren Price unveiled details of a $1 Million emergency relief fund that will help District 9 victims of the LAPD fireworks explosion. The initiative draws from Price’s $21 million Reimagining Public Safety dollars and will provide immediate relief to impacted individuals and families.

McOsker, who is an attorney by trade, has been a long-standing servant of both the district and the City of Los Angeles.
During what was intended to be a routine safe detonation of confiscated fireworks by the LAPD Bomb Squad on June 30, led to an explosion in South LA, which sent 17 people to the hospital, including neighbors and first responders, blowing out the glass on homes and destroying several vehicles.
As the 54th District assemblymember, Bryan will represent the neighborhoods of Baldwin Hills, Cheviot Hills, Crenshaw, Century City, Culver City, Ladera Heights, Mar Vista, Palms, Rancho Park, Westwood and sections of South Los Angeles and Inglewood.
