Offering a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, the AME Southern California Conference Women In Ministry (SCCWIM) are planning an Appreciation Luncheon and Comedy Show.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 28, at 12 p.m., at First AME Church, 2270 S. Harvard Blvd., in Los Angeles.
The program will feature a tribute to the Rev. Roosevelt Lindsey, Jr., presiding elder of the Los Angeles South District, and the Rev. Dr. Allen L. Williams, Sr., presiding elder of the Los Angeles North District.
According the Rev. Dr. Charolyn J. Jones, SCCWIM coordinator, “Presiding Elders Lindsey and Williams have a long history of encouraging women clergy and we want to show our appreciation for their wise counsel and supportive actions through the years.” Also, Ramona Stephens and her entertaining colleagues will perform.
“We welcome the greater Los Angeles community to come out and enjoy good food, fellowship and fun,” added Jones.
