The family of the Rev. Dr. Cecil L. ‘Chip’ Murray announced services for his homegoing celebration.  Dr. Murray, the longtime, transformative pastor of First AME Church of Los Angeles, passed away on April 5.

On Friday, April 26, his body will lie in honor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at First AME Church, 2270 South Harvard Blvd., in Los Angeles where the Rev. Dr. Robert Shaw is the pastor.  A service will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at FAME.

The homegoing celebration of Dr. Murray takes place on Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m., at FAME.  The service will be livestreamed on various online and social media platforms. The interment will be held at 2 p.m. at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave., in Inglewood.  The repast is scheduled for approximately 3:30 p.m. at FAME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the USC Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement at Circle of Support, Center for Religion and Civic Culture.
