After an extended period of coping with illness, Mrs. Sally Bell passed away in her home on Saturday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bell will be remembered for her dedication to the life of the church, particularly the Sunday School. She assumed leadership roles, first at Peoples Independent Church of Christ where she served as Superintendent for 11 years. She was also an alto in Albert McNeil’s Cathedral Choir. She joined Grace United Methodist Church in 1973 and for 21 years was active in the Christian Education Department.

Memorial services are scheduled at the church this Saturday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 4112 W. Slauson Avenue, west of Verdun. Pastor Rev. Paul Hill will officiate. For convenient parking, early arrival is suggested. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Bell made a special appeal that donations are made to her favorite charity, Grace United Methodist Church Sunday School. Questions may be directed to the church office: 323/294-6653.
