The Faith, Family and Finance Conference will soon be underway through Saturday, March 22, at New Revelation Baptist Church, 855 North Orange Grove Blvd., in Pasadena. The theme is “Moving from Loss to Legacy.”

“The goal is to serve the survivors of the Eaton County wildfires by providing information and inspiration through inspiring sermons, breakout groups, panel discussions, meals, and recovery resources,” said New Revelation Pastor George Hurtt.

The conference begins on Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m., with a lecture by Dr. Dwight Radcliff on “Navigating Loss and Finding Hope.”  Dr. Hurtt will deliver a message entitled “Faith in the Fire” based on I Peter 1:6-9.

On Friday, March 2, Dr. Gloria Morrow will speak during lunch at 12 p.m., on “The Road to Recovery: Practical Steps for Moving Forward.”  Breakout sessions will follow on the topic of faith by Pastor Larry Weaver of Atherton Baptist Church, family by Pastor Damon Allen, finance by Pastor Brandon Bouldin of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and mental health by Dr. Morrow.

The agenda will conclude with a panel discussion on “Stories of Resilience: Overcoming Adversity Together” followed by dinner and a movie.

The conference continues Saturday, March 22, at 9 a.m., with a panel discussion on “Building a Strong Foundation for the Future.”  Breakout sessions begin at 10:10 a.m. The topics and speakers are “Navigating Disaster Relief Programs” by Yolandra McClinton and Neighborhood Housing Services of L.A. County, “Serving Others as a Path to Healing” by LadyLike Foundation founder Leah Pump, “Parenting Through Crisis: Helping Children Heal” by Dr. Millicent Rose of Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, “Rebuilding Your Financial Future” by Dr. George Thompson, pastor of Stewardship at Faithful Central Bible Church.

The lunch speaker will be Dr. Thema Bryant, who will address “Moving Forward with Faith, Family and Financial Stability.  Bryant will also sign copies of her book, “Matters of the Heart: Healing Your Relationship with Yourself and Those You Love.”
