K Michelle’s Kitchen Catering is bringing unlimited flavor to the 19th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival.

Katrina Michelle will be serving up her signature hibachi plates featuring succulent shrimp and well-seasoned chicken on a bed of garlic noodles with sauteed vegetables. Along with this, she will have Black and Mexican-fusion tacos and an assortment of flavored lemonades.

What makes this vendor unique is an elevated flavor palate built upon creole seasoning and a hint of other spices from across the globe. She also offers a variety of health-conscious foods to suit a wide range of tastes, including freshly pressed juices. Her meals are not only delicious, but also made with ingredients from sustainable farming and humane sources.

Born from the pandemic, K Michelle’s Kitchen Catering developed as a business through Katrina’s natural culinary gifts and ability to put together exquisite spreads for friends.

“I was always known for cooking for my friends, doing big seafood boils,” said K Michelle. “We would always post, and people would always comment: ‘Wow I really would like to try your food!’ I felt encouraged and inspired to do something that we needed during the pandemic.”

From seafood boils to elaborate brunches, her meals were so good that her friends encouraged her to share her menu with the world. It has since grown with a variety of clientele seeking her out including celebrity clients such as Cardi B, Korrupt, and Souljah Boy.

“We do anything from pop-up events to boxed lunches for groups like the Department of Mental Health and corporate clients. We can do anything as large as weddings. There is no limit to the things that we do,” commented K Michelle.

With all the amazing work that K Michelle’s Kitchen Catering does, she also loves coming to Taste of Soul to share her delicious creations. Coming early to prepare her goods, she works tirelessly to serve the community, one plate at a time
