“Born Again..What! How?? Part 1

When Nicodemas (a high ranking Pharisee of the Jewish council, a member of the Sanhedrin) came to Jesus in the evening one night. I suspect he wanted to get alone with Jesus so he could hear not only his own thoughts, but what Jesus would respond to him. You know how it is, you don’t always want someone right there to interfere with what your own thoughts are and to hear your thoughts. I have to do that, because when others are around they may try to confuse my thinking and get their point over and leave your mind blemished. He presented to Jesus (in our mind as in the mind of Nicodemas) a very difficult question. Along with the question, he stated what he believed without doubt; saying, “Rabbi, we (along with the members of the Sanhedrin) know” you come from God;” for no one cannot be from God and perform the miracles you have performed.”(John 3:2) It’s sort of like he is saying and clarifying his own intelligence to set the matter up for presentation where he was having problems, difficulty in understanding. John 7:46, it is written, “Never man spoke like this man. (Jesus)” The same question is presented today in this time: John 3:4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” “Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?” This is such a fascinating question, because even today, many non-believers can get no further than that very point. Sometimes if a person cannot imagine it in their own mind, then it must not be possible. It’s like you can’t come on this subject expecting to draw a picture in your mind of what things should be or look like. It goes beyond your imagination and into the spiritual realm. It is “spiritual birth.” “Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart and you will be saved (Romans 10:9) I will say something which may be quite obvious, you can’t harness the spirit. It frees you. It is by faith. Do you want the “rebirth?” Go to the originator of spiritual birth. Go to Jesus. Do you want to see and participate in the Lord’s kingdom? Say it right now. “Yes, Lord.” I believe you are the “Savior of the world.” “Yes, Lord, I believe that through you I have eternal life when I confess you as the only true God.” “Yes, Lord, I believe your way is the way to get my mind on the right track to do things differently for the better.” “Yes, Lord, I am ready to take a close look at myself and see where I have not been the best that I can be, because I have not followed you, “the way, the truth and the life.” You know Lord, “I been” thinking I’m so high and mighty. I’ve been in high places and still am there; but, I keep thinking that I don’t need you. I can do it all on my own.” Jesus continues the conversation with Nicodemas, John 3:5, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” I recommend to anyone to be baptized. Why, “I follow the example of Jesus being baptized by John the baptizer. Water is cleansing, refreshing and purifying. We renounce our old way of life and renounce idolatry (there’s a lot of that going on); bad habits, and false ways of life that we need to get rid of. As we read and study the Bible, the light of our eyes is opened. And the Holy Spirit comes in to change us spiritually as to the way of Jesus’ teachings. Someone might say, “How come there’s so much sin in the world?” As you read and study the Bible, you find that from Genesis through Revelation, the Bible is all about Jesus, the Christ, the coming Messiah, the Messiah who has come and who will be returning. Someone says, “ Well how do you know that Dr. Jeanette? I know it because the Bible is clearly explanatory. When I read about the many assaults that the Adversary set up to stop the coming of “the Seed,” the Adversary still thinks that he can make this world so decadent that Jesus will just give up on His creation. But, Jesus is not going to give up on us. He is biding His time, always guiding, always purifying, purging away the dross so we can see through the adversary’s schemes to deceive us in denying Jesus as Lord and Savior of the world. One day Jesus will say, “SURPRISE!” I’M BACK! Yes, he will come as “a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2). The most recent tornadoes and storms are just a peek at the future “coming of the day of the Lord.” I heard there were warnings of the coming storms, but many didn’t listen; similar to Noah. He was building and they didn’t listen until the floods came. Jesus is going to have “His Day.” Today is man’s day when man wants to cut the Lord out of the world He has created. Jesus is choreographer, watching, observing, directing, guiding and calling on all those who will come into His kingdom by faith and enter into His rest by faith. All are invited! Don’t wait until it’s too late. Come Now! Please. Thanks for reading!
