Starting the day with a cup of steaming coffee is a sacred ritual, it supports the development of consciousness for the day ahead.

Sip and Sonder creates an aroma of readiness, arming their guests with great flavors that fuel their confidence in tackling their day. Their usual guests designed their morning to include supporting a Black-owned business at the top of their day.

Handling the cup a little differently, Sip and Sonder created Sonder Impact—an organization that works with developing projects and events.  Demonstrating significant effects on collective minds of innovation, Sonder Impact is devoted to helping Black communities take responsibility of their personal and professional growth.

Located on 108 S Market St., Inglewood, California, Sip and Sonder offers unique flavors and range of specialty drinks, such as the Honey Latte and Rose Latte. They also have small bites like their Vegan Curry Puff and cinnamon rolls.

Sip and Sonder is a Black women-owned coffee business with a collection of coffeehouses, a coffee roastery, and digital content spaces that was founded in 2017 in Inglewood, California.

Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas met while employed at the same law firm.  Later, the two ladies also entered the business world as partners, combining their respective passions to form Sip and Sonder.

Sip and Sonder coffee shops act as hubs for entrepreneurship and creativity where independent workers, curators, creative business owners, and everyone in between can just live, drink a cup of coffee, socialize, create, and put sonder into action.

With sustainable practices, Sip and Sonder carefully selects specialty coffee products that come from communities of color around the world. Sip and Sonder is revolutionizing the global coffee experience and pioneering the next wave of coffee culture.
