He sustains us during good times and difficult times. He teaches us how to live with each other. Isaiah 2:4 tells us that nations will no longer rise up against each other and war will not be the main subject, therefore, it will not be taught. Psalm 2 tells us that the LORD laughs to scorn His enemies and holds them in divine contempt. Enemies become laughingstock in society among their peers. He sits in the heavens. He has residence in divine location.
Who are His enemies? Some nations are His enemies; therefore, nations collectively and individuals singularly and collectively. When we look at the many different names that God goes by, (and these are not a total number), we might ask the question, “Where does He live and what is He doing?” Psalm 2 and Psalm 68, along with other scriptures offer some insight into what He is doing and where is He? Psalm 68 which is a marching to victory Psalm has His names listed in seven different proper names: Elohim (verse 1: Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.), Yah (verse 4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rides upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him. ), Jehovah (verse 10 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
God sets the solitary in families: he brings out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.), El Shaddai (verse 14), Yah Elohim (verse 14 the Almighty scattered kings in it and verses 15-18 “15 The hill of God is a high hill; but. God chose Zion, Jerusalem for His divine sanctuary. Many didn’t like it as it is today, but it is what He has chosen16 Why leap ye, (why do you fume with envy?) high hills? this is the hill which God desired to dwell in; yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.” Today we see the resistance of many nations, even some of our own choose to resent Jerusalem as His choice dwelling place. He is rich and possesses all things.
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. He has ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.), Adonai (verse 19 verses 16-19 15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desired to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: You have received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them. God wants the disobedient to be saved too He frees the imprisoned to show even His love for everyone. His door is open.
No man can shut it. Love cannot be shut off or shut away! ), Jehovah Adonai (verse 20) Doing?” (verse 22 I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: He will seek those out who yearn and long for a way out; even though they don’t know the Almighty God. He knows all things and everyone! What does God do? He holds heavenly council meetings: messengers sought to derail the prophet Micaiah and keep him from delivering God’s word of truth. Micaiah decided to confuse the king by telling him he would prosper in war. The king knew that Micaiah never would tell him good, but only truth. God held a meeting 2 Chronicles 18:19-30 15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I insist that you say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the Lord?
Then Micaiah said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil? 18 Again Micaiah said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. And the Lord said, who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spoke saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lord said unto him, wherewith?
And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. So, in other words, the king would be deceived, because all those prophets he had believed in before, they would be gathered together to deceive as altogether.22 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil against thee.
We do now want God to band together for deception and failure. We must be mindful of whom we believe and listen for the voice of the Lord for truth! 23 Then one named Zedekiah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak to speak to you. And Micaiah was certain and bold in his prophecy and said, Behold, you shall see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber 25 Then the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son; And for speaking the truth, Micaiah was condemned, starved and thrown into prison. And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace. And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the Lord spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all you people.
The Message: Not everything that is said is good for you, nor not everything said about you is making you a bad person. Be meditative and learn to listen attentively for the truth.
