Aulsondro “Emcee N.I.C.E. ” Hamilton, Ph.D., has been appointed as vice chancellor of Harvest Christian University’s (HCU) extension campus, which is set to open in April 2024.
HCU President Dr. Carl Robinson and the Board of Regents announced the appointment of Hamilton and noted that he is the “first hip hop and Christian hip hop artist to hold such a prestigious role in academia.”
“I am deeply grateful and honored to be in a position to help in the leadership role with the institution to usher in tomorrow’s leaders and experts today. As an alumnus of HCU, I welcome the challenges and opportunities I will face and create as we all work together to achieve the university’s goals,” said Hamilton.

His honors range from the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award to recognitions from state and city officials and an honorary doctorate from Harvest Christian University. Hamilton’s achievements include recognition as the first U.S. Ambassador for Europe’s Black Music Appreciation Month – Gospel Agency, induction into the Gospel Hip Hop/Christian Hip Hop Hall of Fame, co-creator of Netflix’s first African American animated music series, and many more honors.
