A God-praising, hallelujah-shouting time in the Lord is promised at the 21st Annual Venice Beach Gospel Crusade Rally.
According to organizer Joann Daughtry, the free event takes place on Saturday, August 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the corner of Pacific Blvd., and Windward St., in the Venice district of Los Angeles. Several local clergy, musicians, speakers and artists will participate.
“The goal and purpose of this event is to fulfill what God spoke to me years ago. He said, ‘Bring my people back to me,’” said Daughtry, who invited the public to attend.
“Disciples on the Move Ministries will dispatch buses to bring people from homeless shelters, rehabilitation homes, women and children’s facilities and even those on the streets to the rally,” she explained. “Everyone will enjoy free home-cooked food along with access to clothing, toys, and much-needed resources as they praise God and worship with the general population and the rich and famous.”
In addition to healing and deliverance, Daughtry said the rally will also offer an intercessory prayer booth as well as baptisms. In the past, approximately 350 people accepted Christ and more than 70 were baptized each year.
Inviting believers to lend their talents to the crusade, Daughtry said, “We are taking the gospel to the beach and I am issuing an urgent call to pastors, evangelists, missionaries, witnessing teams and soul winners to come and help us win the lost,”
