Pastor Larry Dozier and the members of The New Earth Christian Church (TNECC) will host “Carols of Compassion: Giving to the Unhoused” on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Rowley Park, 13220 S. Van Ness Ave in Gardena.
According to the organizers, the event offers attendees an opportunity to join in caroling along with providing donations for homeless individuals. Participants may volunteer for part of the session or stay the whole time.

“We want to share the love and warmth of the season,” said Pastor Dozier. “This event is about coming together as a community and bringing comfort to those who need it most. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation ($10 recommended; not required) but do bring your best singing voice.”
All contributions will go toward creating Christmas baskets, which will be distributed during the event’s second part to unhoused individuals in the local area. The baskets will contain snacks, blankets, scarves, beanies, socks, gloves, toiletries, and water.

“Just give us a call if you need assistance and thank you in advance for helping to spread holiday cheer while making a tangible difference for those experiencing homelessness,” added Pastor Dozier.
