Residents of Compton and Neighboring Cities will have Access to Expungements, Job Opportunities, and Mental Health Resources

On Friday, June 21st, Compton Mayor Emma Sharif will partner with the Compton branch of the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office to host a Juneteenth Freedom Day Expungement from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Dollarhide Community Center. This community event is being held to honor the spirit of freedom and restoration of rights that Juneteenth represents.

The event will feature resources from vendors such as Chrysalis, Master Trucking Company, Measure of Heart Foundations, Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers, Partners for Justice, Step with Faith Women’s Sober Living, the Department of Mental Health, Chosen 2 Trucking School, and Western States Carpenters Union Local 323. Residents from Compton and neighboring cities are welcome to attend.
