Salvation Army Compton Corps presents musician and composer Charles Barnes in concert at 736 E. Compton Blvd., in Compton. Lincoln Memorial Church and The Gailen and Cathy Reevers Center celebrate legendary Black entertainers of the Sugar Hill District on Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., at 4126 Arlington Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Wendell Miller. Omega Educational Foundation plans its 26th annual Youth Leadership Conference on Oct. 26, at 8 a.m., at USC Taper Hall. The Omega Psi Phi Tau Tau Chapter sponsors the free event.
