First AME Church commemorates the 30th Anniversary of the Annual Walk to End Hunger on May 11, at 2270 S. Harvard Blvd., in Los Angeles, said Pastor J. Edgar Boyd. The Sarah Allen Women’s Missionary Society sponsors the event. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the ceremony at 7:30 a.m. The walk will begin at 8 a.m., starting at FAME Church.  To participate or obtain information, call the church at (323) 735-1251.

West Angeles Church of God in Christ presents “A Day in May with Lady Mae” on May 11, at 9:30 a.m., at 3045 S. Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles. First Lady Mae Blake will share words of inspiration, healing, laughter and love. The donation is $40. On May 12, at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., Dr. Judith McAllister, will be the guest speaker at the Mother’s Day services. Bryant Temple AME Church presents its Spring Revival 2019 on May 14-16, at 7 p.m., at 2525 W. Vernon Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Dwaine A. Jackson. The theme is “Here We Are to Bow Down” based on 2 Chronicles 20:3-4. The revivalists are Pastor Joseph Robinson of Resurrection Church in Carson on May 14, the Rev. Grace United Methodist Church plans a “Karaoke Fundraiser” on May 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 4112 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Cedric Bridgeforth. The program, open to all ages, will feature Stan the Prayed-Up Man, music, line dancing, games and refreshments. The donation is $10 for adults and $5 for youth. On June 29, the “Back-to-Church Comedy Show” takes place at 5 p.m. Lester Barrie and Friends will perform along with professional comedians. All ages are welcome. The donation is $20.
