Assemblywoman Autumn Burke will host a one-day “Replace Your Ride” event in Inglewood on Saturday June 25 from 10:00 to 3:00 pm, to help residents who wish, to apply to the program that helps low to moderate income earners purchase newer and cleaner vehicles. The event will be held at CarMax on 355 Glasgow Avenue. Representatives from the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will talk to attendees about the program.
Residents may be eligible to receive up to $9,500 to purchase a newer, cleaner and more fuel-efficient vehicle depending on their income level, the vehicle model purchased and where they live. Low-income residents living in an environmentally disadvantaged area and purchasing a zero-emission or plug-in hybrid electric car are eligible to receive the highest incentive amount.
Residents interested in the program may meet with a Replace Your Ride representative at the event and fill-out an application to determine eligibility to participate in the program. For more information, visit www.replaceyourride.com or call (855) 483-5107.
