Revelation 18:8

This verse is heralding the fall and destruction of a city and its systems. Space does not permit to fully explain what is being referenced here. In previous verses, Revelation 17:18 and verses following, the great city Babylon is spoken of here. After extensive reading, we see that these systems or this system will fall rapidly Revelation 18:8 speaks of destruction in one day (plagues, death mourning, famine, Babylon will be burned in one day! The kings of the earth (Revelation 17:2) this judgment will be done in one hour! Assuming the time is literal, I have no reason to believe otherwise. When I read about “the cyberattack,” it was quick and devastating. The world’s largest meat processing company has resumed most production after a weekend cyberattack, but experts say the vulnerabilities exposed by this attack and others are far from resolved. A cyber attack is an assault launched by cyber criminals. Well that doesn’t tell us a lot, but we know it is technologically related. In a statement late Wednesday, the FBI attributed the attack on Brazil-based meat processor JBS SA to REvil, a Russian-speaking gang that has made some of the largest ransomware demands on record in recent months.  The COVID 19 coronavirus was quick and devastating and we have not yet overcome this pandemic. We’re still battling cancer and polio and many other diseases not totally eradicated. There are still hundreds of thousands of people dying. For those who watch the happenings of the day and watch bible knowledge, we see there are things which make all the appearance that we are in the last days and the “day of the Lord” will come. The bible also says that there are some who no matter what they hear or see, “they did not repent (Revelation 16:9, 11).” We see those persons today who do not believe that God Almighty will have the last word. He sets warnings and sets limits. The Bible doesn’t lie. “…the sunken hull of what earlier this week was one of Iran’s largest warship, IRIS Kharg an Ol-class replenishment oiler, caught fire on the evening of June 1. The crew battled the fire. Only 33 injured and no deaths; but could not save the ship. In the end only the sea could extinguish the flames. Kharg burned for hours before slowly listing to starboard and sinking stern-first, within sight of the Iranian port of Jask The loss of Kharg, Iran’s only replenishment ship, created new challenges for the under-resourced Iranian Navy. The fleet oiler was an essential unit in Iranian ambitions to operate beyond the Middle East. (So, they were stopped. There are limits. God stopped the peoples from building a tower to the heavens and separated the peoples by languages. (Genesis 11:1-9) Brothers, sisters friends and everyone, it’s time to pay attention. Every day lets us know that troublesome events are happening and forthcoming without warning!
