Markette Sheppard decided to create something positive during the COVID-19 lockdown this is how Alphabet in a Flash, a new line of multicultural educational tools was born. The 26-letter flashcard series is a stand out with uplifting phrases and illustrations to go along with each letter of the alphabet.

In a world where a lot of people just talk about making positive change, Markette Sheppard has been doing it for a long time, this includes writing her inspirational children’s books, “What Is Light?” and “My Rainy Day Rocket Ship” (Simon & Schuster).

As a TV Host, Markette won an EMMY award for her role as host and moderator of a morning show on the CBS affiliate in Washington, DC, and on the national stage, she has been featured on top-rated national morning shows as a lifestyle expert, including NBC’s “TODAY Show,” VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live” and ABC’s “Live! with Kelly.” She is also the host and creator of “The Glow Girl’s Guide to Life,” a 12-part social media series on Glow Steam TV.

Now to Sheppard’s boss side, she is the founder of The GLOW Brands, LLC, a digital marketing and consulting company aimed at illuminating brands around the world, and was awarded a full scholarship to the 2021 Vital Voices Grow business development program for entrepreneurial endeavors.
