West Angeles Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Charles Blake, hosts its annual Christmas concert as a means to give back to the Los Angeles community.
“Christmas at the Cathedral” takes place Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., at West Angeles Cathedral, 3600 S. Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles.
“This event is for the entire community to enjoy. Many families can’t afford to attend concerts with top artists, so we want to give this gift to everyone. It’s a great way for family and friends to spend the day together – for free,” said Gladys Ross, West Angeles chief operating officer.
This year’s guests include Kim Burrell, Beverly Crawford, Jonathan Reynolds, Shelby 5, Jessie Campbell and the, West Angeles Mass Choir.
“West Angeles Church of God in Christ is committed to enhance the well-being of our community by providing much needed resources. We also understand that the gift of joy, laughter and entertainment during a season when so many of us are struggling in various ways,” said Bishop Blake.
