WHAT: Wells Fargo employees will support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) and its coalition partners as part of a volunteer event on Saturday, October 27, 2018 to support the revitalization of the Washington Neighborhood. Wells Fargo has awarded Habitat LA a $100,000 grant to help complete the project.

The Dia de los Muertos event is the vision of resident leaders who want to activate 14th Street Park with family friendly activities. There will be arts and crafts, bounce houses, face painting, music and food.  Bringing the community together for this event will foster a sense of community and expand upon the social cohesion needed to improve the quality of life in the Washington Neighborhood.

WHY: As part of Habitat LA’s commitment to the Washington Neighborhood, and a larger commitment by Habitat for Humanity Int’l to neighborhood revitalization projects nationally, this event will bring together members of the community to support efforts to improve the safety of its residents.  Wells Fargo will present a check for $100,000 in grant funding to Habitat LA, resident leaders and our coalition partners during the event, which will be used to support neighborhood revitalization efforts in the Washington Neighborhood.  Additionally, Wells Fargo employees will there to help in various capacities throughout the event.
