White Hall Arts Academy have just been named as a finalist for the fifth annual Accelerator Awards from the Lewis Prize for Music. WHAA provides free and subsidized conservatory level transformative arts education programs to the South L.A., Inglewood, Watts, and Compton communities and online.

Tanisha Hall, entrepreneur, pianist and vocal teacher, turned her grandmother’s longstanding beauty salon into White Hall Arts Academy. The school teaches the arts to people of all ages in South L.A. and beyond. A $1.4 million renovation is underway to expand the school’s reach.
Black-owned business and resources for people of color were highlighted at Rock the Block 2022, a community gathering held on West 54th Street on July 31.
Jun. 25 Come and join the White Hall Arts Academy 2017 Annual Recital and 5 Year Celebration. Over 70 youth attending the White Hall Arts Academy will present performances in music and dance for family and community members on Sunday June 25, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.
