“Union Station Kind of Love” is a collaboration between Metro Art Presents and the popular THE FLOOR Improv. Kicking off at 8 p.m. with a 1960’s, Supremes-style dance follow-along led by the popular trio, the Velettes, the event will feature live music by the St. Jukes. Additional dance follow-alongs and social dancing will be part of the celebration.

Spectacular Annual Tree Lighting at Union Station

Nov. 30 Union Station ushers in the holiday season on Thursday, November 30, at the Annual Tree Lighting under the stars on the station’s South Patio, featuring an elaborate new holiday light display. For the first time in the station’s history, a massive Christmas wreath, measuring 20 feet in diameter and weighing nearly 800 pounds, has been raised atop the iconic clock tower. The historic station has been transforms into a winter wonderland with thousands of glistening lights and dancing snowflakes surrounding a towering all white Christmas tree. L.A. Metro CEO Delivers Annual State of the Agency Report

L.A. Metro CEO Phillip Washington delivered his first annual State of the Agency report last Thursday to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board of Directors calling the agency sound, with many challenges ahead. However, Washington said those challenges are being addressed and the many opportunities that lie ahead of the agency are achievable. Highlighted in his report to the Board included fiscal stability with the creation of a Risk Allocation Matrix (RAM) to deal with future operational deficits and optimization of Metro services and fare media in the coming years.
