The UCLA/USC Rivalry Game Slated to Feature Two Black Quarterbacks

The rivalry game between No. 16 UCLA Bruins and No. 7/6 USC will be a historic matchup as both teams have a Black starting quarterback. This is the first time in the history of the rivalry game that two Black quarterbacks—Caleb Williams of USC and Dorian Thompson-Robinson of UCLA—will battle against each other.

UCLA Works to Contend in 2022 Season

Bruin fans have a lot to be excited about after the UCLA football team earned an 8-4 overall record during the 2021 season. After beating the likes of LSU and USC, UCLA came in second in the Pac-12 South and third in the entire conference.

Student Athlete of the Week: Jon Gaines II

When he was getting offers from college football programs, senior offensive lineman Jon Gaines II kept his studies in mind. He knew that UCLA would be a consistent mix of strong football competition and impactful learning. Gaines II even sat through a class session before he committed to the Bruins.

Student Athlete of the Week: Dorian Thompson-Robinson

UCLA senior quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson led the Bruins into national ranking after defeating LSU on September 4. He has made at least 50 percent of his passes in their first three games this season and has seven passing touchdowns as of September 21.

Student Athlete of the Week: Krys Barnes

UCLA senior linebacker Krystopher “Krys” Barnes is a leader on the field and off. While being a starter for the team, he became a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in Winter 2017 and Spring 2018.
