Jackie Roosevelt Robinson is one of the most iconic figures in sports history. He was born in Cairo, Georgia on January 31, 1919, and his family moved to Pasadena one year later. Seeing his brother Mack Robinson compete in track and field inspired him to pursue sports.

Southern University Marching Band ‘Human Jukebox’ Selected to Join 2020 Rose Parade

The Southern University Marching Band better known as the “Human Jukebox,” is one of 20 marching bands selected to join the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 131st Rose Parade presented by Honda, themed “The Power of Hope.” The bands will travel to Pasadena from across the United States, from Puerto Rico to Hawaii, and around the world, including Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Japan, and Mexico.
