Relatives of Tyre Nichols, George Floyd and Eric Garner say lack of police reform is frustrating

 Relatives of Tyre Nichols, George Floyd and Eric Garner — three Black men killed in violent confrontations with police officers — expressed frustration Friday with politicians who have failed to pass police reform legislation or have worked to invalidate laws intended to reduce chances that citizens’ encounters with police end in death.

View Park Battles in Urban Rugby Tournament

The View Park Knights Rugby program recently traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to compete in the inaugural Urban Rugby Championship. Both the girls’ and boys rugby teams competed against and bonded with different rugby programs from throughout the country, including Dallas and Washington DC.

Frank Robinson, MLB’s First Black Manager and Hall of Famer Dies at 83

First-ballot Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, who was Major League Baseball’s first Black manager, has died at the age of 83 after a prolonged battle with bone cancer. Robinson is one of the most groundbreaking figures in MLB history. He heavily impacted the integration of Black players into the league. Nearly a decade after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1946, Robinson broke into the majors earning Rookie of the Year honors in 1956 while playing for the Cincinnati Reds.
