Los Angeles Lakers fans poured into Staples Center ahead of the home opener against the Houston Rockets on Saturday, invigorated to usher in the new “Showtime” era with LeBron James as the star. What happened was a different type of “showtime”. In the fourth quarter several members of these teams had multiple physical altercations and oddly enough, the fracas did not dim the excitement but fostered it.
Lonzo Ball will make his Lakers preseason debut as he takes the court for the first time in 195 days that he will share with new teammate LeBron James on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors.
