Sparks go cold in 80-72 loss to Mystics

Playoffs are on the horizon and the LA Sparks sit with the third seed in the standings. The Washington Mystics, playing for their playoff lives showed their hunger and will to keep their playoff hopes alive, defeating the elite Sparks 80-72. 

Jewell Loyd hits Buzzer-Beater to Defeat Sparks 90-89

The Los Angeles Sparks hustled to the final seconds against the Seattle Storm. With 0.3 seconds left, Storm guard Jewell Loyd took an in-bound pass and sank a clutch three-pointer, allowing the Seattle Storm to survive the Sparks 90-89.  

Sparks Next Woman Up Mentality

The Sparks defeated the Wings 91-83, and they are now 13-4 on the season. Veteran Candace Parker led the way with 22 points, ten rebounds, six assists, and four players in double figures. Sparks are playing outstanding basketball as a team.

Reshanda Gray Empowers Youth While Competing with the L.A. Sparks

Giving back can not only help a person in need, but also help the giver by instilling in them a sense of perspective and purpose. This was the case for Los Angeles Sparks forward Reshanda Gray prior to the time she earned a contract with the Sparks. 

The New York Liberty waived Gray in May 26 and the Sparks signed her in June 27. Being waived was difficult news for Gray.
