Dodgers Dreamfield built Ted Watkins park for a shoe and food distribution for 92nd street elementary school students. Because of the pandemic, the distribution has shifted to a contactless drive through giveaway. They strive to ensure families will walk away with food boxes that include produce, dairy, and more. Dodgers issued assessments in April and May to ask the community surrounding Dreamfield and RBI locations to see how the pandemic impacted them during the trying times.
Despite the difficulties of COVID-19, the organization is still dedicated to helping youth meet their educational needs.

Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson partnered with the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to host a drive-through food pantry for more than 5,000 South L.A. Families.
TV Personality Lavar Ball stopped by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to personally donate three truckloads of Big Baller Brand Water, volunteer, and learn more about the food bank’s mission.
