Twelve Los Angeles Sports Teams Unite to Donate in Support of Those Impacted By L.A. Fires

As the people of Los Angeles and its surrounding communities begin the long recovery from the region’s devastating fires, 12 professional sports organizations – Angel City FC, the Angels, Chargers, Clippers, Dodgers, Ducks, Galaxy, Kings, LAFC, Lakers, Rams and Sparks – have pledged a combined donation of more than $8 million to support victims in need, as well as those fighting the fires.

The Playoff-bound Los Angeles Rams and Chargers have several things in common. Both teams have similar records and seeding: the Rams hold a 10-7 overall record and are a fourth seed in the NFC while the Chargers are seeded fifth in the AFC with a 11-6 overall record.

The Los Angeles Rams ran a defensive clinic against the Arizona Cardinals in their 13-9 win. Despite the Cards getting twice as many first downs and having more offensive yards than the Rams, the L.A. Defense committed four sacks and two interceptions on Arizona.

Rams Stymie Bills 44-42

The Los Angeles Rams made enough plays to thwart the playoff-bound Buffalo Bills 44-42. The Los Angeles offense went 11-15 on their third down conversions and converted one fourth down. The Rams only punted the ball away once.

Rams Control Vikings on Thursday Night Football

The Los Angeles Rams put on an offensive showcase in their 30-20 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 25 passes for 279 yards, becoming  10th in NFL history in career all-time passing yards.  He currently has 57,718 passing yards.
