The USC School of Dramatic Arts (SDA) Drama Center celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with alumni, students and guests on Friday, March 28.
“Read LA! Literacy and Justice for All” emphasizes the participation of all early education providers, parents, policymakers, and others to make early literacy a top priority.
The campaign is in association with longtime literacy advocate LeVar Burton, the executive producer of “The Right to Read.”

LeVar Burton has been hired as host of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, giving the competition a celebrity headliner who’s also a longtime literacy advocate as Scripps takes over production of the bee telecast.
