GMWA Honors Gospel Legends and Supporters at Annual Concert

Shouts of “hallelujah” and “praise God” were heard throughout the “Back To The Old Landmark” concert, which was sponsored by the Gospel Music Workshop of America – L.A. Chapter on Feb. 9. Community Day Brings South L.A. Together in Love

From the moment that Community Day kicked-off on Jan. 19, throngs of people filled the parking lot outside Power of Love Ministries to receive free groceries, clothing, jobs information and health screenings. The 24th annual gathering, hosted by Bishop Edward Turner and members of Power of Love, attracted thousands of residents from neighborhoods surrounding the church’s Manchester and Normandie location in South Los Angeles. The 24th Annual Community Day, a free massive food, clothing and social awareness event commemorating the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1430 W. LACC Plans Reunion Concert

Joyous praise will highlight the upcoming reunion concert featuring Trenora Parker and the L.A. Cathedral Choir (LACC).
