South L.A. students displayed their dramatic skills during a reading competition sponsored by El Nido Family Centers and United Voices of Literacy on Dec. 14.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles Ram’s towels whirled above the heads of students inside the Worthington Elementary School auditorium accompanied by chanting, “Who’s House?…Rams’ House.” Students eagerly awaited the appearance of Rams’ All-Pro running back Todd Gurley for his Childhood Literacy initiative in conjunction with Pizza Hut, the Rams, and The BOOK IT! Literacy Project.
