The members of Pilgrim’s Hope Bible Church have selected the Rev. Dr. C. Lamar Simmons to become the new pastor of their ministry.

Significant highpoints in the ministry of Pastor C. Lamar Simmons will take center stage during the “25/35/45 Milestones Celebration” planned by Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church of Los Angeles. In a nod to Simmons’ achievements, the congregation will honor his 25 years as the pastor of Greater Mount Olive, 35 years of preaching and 45th birthday with a musical on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m., at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 510 W. 53rd St., in Los Angeles. The Rev. Dr. Renandez Grim is the host pastor. Gospel recording artists Zacardi Cortez and Tim “Bishop” Brown will headline the musical
