The members of Pilgrim’s Hope Bible Church have selected the Rev. Dr. C. Lamar Simmons to become the new pastor of their ministry.
The installation service is set for Sunday, October 24, at 6 p.m., at Pilgrim’s Hope, located at 7016 S. Compton Ave. in Los Angeles. The Rev. Dr. T. Delbert Robinson will be the guest preacher.
“We invite the church community to join us as we install our pastor-elect, Dr. Simmons. We rejoice that the Lord has led him to our congregation and we are looking forward to celebrating this occasion as the family of God,” said a spokesperson.
Previously, Simmons was the spiritual leader of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Robinson was the pastor of Pilgrim’s Hope for many years before accepting the position of senior pastor of Changing a Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
