Pilgrim’s Hope Bible Church and the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church will host the “40 Years of Preaching” celebration for Dr. C. Lamar Simmons on Sunday, March 30, at 5 p.m.
The worship celebration will be held at Pilgrim’s Hope, located at 7016 Compton Avenue in Los Angeles. The theme is “40 Years of Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ” and the scripture reference is 2 Corinthians 4:5.
Bishop Xavier Thompson, pastor of Southern Baptist Church in Los Angeles, will be the guest preacher. Guests include Pastor Rodney Howard and the members of Grace Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Larry Reliford and the members of Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and Pastor Mark Edwards and the members of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
