Bishop Stafford J.N. Wicker and the Rev. Dr. Constance Wicker were special guests at Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church on June 18.   The Wickers are the presiding prelate and the supervisor of missions of the 18th Episcopal District of the AME Church. Salute set to honor contributions of Bishop and Supv. Kirkland

Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church (BKCAME) will salute the multiple contributions of retired Bishop T. Larry Kirkland and retired Supervisor Mary L. Kirkland on Sunday, April 23, at 9 a.m., in the edifice located at 3719 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles. According to Pastor Mary S. Minor, the recognition will take place during the church’s 40th anniversary observance. Happy Birthday, Bishop Kirkland!

The L.A. Sentinel salutes the Right Rev. Theodore Larry Kirkland, Sr., retired bishop of the AME Church, who will celebrate his 75th birthday on April 8. Kirkland, who served 20 years as the presiding prelate of several AME Episcopal Districts, was previously the internationally known pastor of Brookins Community AME Church. He and Mrs. Mary L. Kirkland will be honored on Sunday, April 23, at 9 a.m., at Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church (BKCAME), 3719 W. Slauson Ave., in Los Angeles.  The Rev. Dr. Mary S.
