Aries Spears —an OG in comedy now hosting a podcast — SPEARS & STEINBERG — 256 in the can and counting

It’s hard to embrace that little Aries Spears has been in the comedy game, so long, that in 2021 —post-COVID-19—he’s now an official O.G. of comedy. Born in 1975, the New York native has been perfecting his comedic persona since he was 14 years old, is described by Hollywood insiders as witty, charismatic, and ferociously aggressive in his comedy style. No doubt, a nod to his astrological sign which, like his name, is Aries (April 3) a zodiac symbol associated with the Greek god of courage and war. 

Ava DuVernay’s Film Collective ARRAY Partners with Google to Create Feature Film Grant for Underrepresented Creatives    

This week, ARRAY announced a partnership with Google to offer emerging creatives from historically underrepresented communities with the opportunity to apply for a career-changing $500,000 feature film grant.  ARRAY is a  grassroots distribution, arts and advocacy collective focused on amplifying work by people of color and women, founded by acclaimed director Ava DuVernay. The ARRAY + Google Feature Film Grant, which will provide funds to produce the recipient’s first full-length feature film, was instituted as a way to help build a more equitable and inclusive artistic community of diverse storytellers.

Davis came from the streets of Chicago IL where she was raised by her mom who had four other children. Like many young people living in urban environments, Davis’ dad battled with drug addiction which is why he has been in and out of her life.
