El Camino College Compton Center Men’s Basketball Finishes Season Third in the State
Henderson’s contributions to the Tartars on the Tennessee State Tigers men’s basketball team this coming fall. His production on court did not only land him a scholarship, but ushered the Tartars to a dominant season.

This year, the football program at El Camino College Compton Center (Compton College) had eight players who committed to four-year institutions including South Utah University, Lincoln University, and Trinity Bible College. Most of the students that are signed to universities have been with the Compton College football program for two years, according to offensive linemen coach Steven Mojarro. “What we do as coaches to get them to the next level is that we promote them all over the country,” said Mojarro. El Camino College Compton Center Counselor Essie French-Preston was recently inducted into the 2015 International Educators’ Hall of Fame by Youth On the Move, Inc. Twenty-eight educators from six countries were selected for this honor, which recognizes individuals who have served as educators for at least 20 years and have made significant humanitarian contributions in the field of education.
