Civil rights attorney and legal consultant Nana Gyamfi accused the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department of “dragging their feet” in their investigation into the death of Gemmel Moore, a 26-year-old Black gay man who was found dead on July 27 in the apartment of prominent Democratic Donor Ed Buck.
The public is invited to attend a community meeting Saturday, October 21, 2017, in West Hollywood to get a briefing on the Gemmel Moore homicide investigation.
Family of Gemmel Moore and activists launch Color of Change petition
On July 27, 26-year-old Gemmel Moore was found dead in the West Hollywood apartment of 63-year-old prominent Democratic political donor Ed Buck. Moore was Black, gay, and worked as an escort.
