Brothers, Cary and Duane Earle brought in their success by observing what works, Cary Earle went into detail about the restaurant’s foundation. Earle’s Restaurant is located down the street from the LA Sentinel Head Quarters, on 3864 Crenshaw Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90008. They became a destination spot from their earlier years or making American classics. Their comfort food rings true to the traditional taste of a great hot dog, but today, there is a twist of soulful and healthy items that represent the community and has supported their dream from the beginning.
In the heart of the Crenshaw District, in South L.A., a community food distribution drive through was held at the Los Angeles Sentinel on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 9M – Noon, to provide groceries for community members experiencing economic hardship due with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bakewell Media, Los Angeles Sentinel, Mothers In Action, AFGE, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, Labor Community Services, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Miguel Contreras Foundation, Teamsters National Black Caucus, Councilmember Herb Wesson of CD 10 and County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas of the 2nd District collaborated to successfully distribute groceries to 2,500 families in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson launched an emergency program to provide free healthy meals to homebound seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. This crisis presents a crucible for leaders and requires quick strategic thinking to preserve our communities. The councilmember launched this innovative program to divert funding from community events that were canceled due to COVID-19, and support two highly vulnerable populations during the pandemic: homebound seniors; as well as small business owners and their employees.

Saturday, August 31, 2019, was the fifth neighborhood car show at renowned restaurant Earle’s On Crenshaw. What began as a mural unveiling in tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle, developed into a recurrent event for families and Black owned businesses to connect every last Saturday of the month.
The mural was revealed and celebrated on April 20, 2019, at Earle’s.
