BIDEN-HARRIS WIN ELECTION
Perhaps 200 years from now, someone doing research, will view this time period as a turning point in American History. It is, in fact, November, 2020 and Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States, and Kamala Harris makes history, on several fronts, as the first woman and person of color voted into the Vice-Presidential office.

Taking Tuesday in Stride: Waking Up Wednesday Still in Struggle
As we wait for the final results of the 2020 election, I refer us to the article I wrote in 2016 under similar circumstances. And the point remains, whatever happens, the struggle will and must continue. No matter how things go down Tuesday night, we must wake up Wednesday morning still in struggle and reaffirm without unrealistic hope or paralyzing horror, that there is still much to do and it is up to us to do it. For indeed, as we always said, the time is now, there is no other; struggle is the way forward, there is no alternative; and we are the ones, there’s no avoiding it.

Congresswoman Waters, A Fearless Leader Fighting for Us All
For over 40 years, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D), who represents California’s 43rd Congressional District, has fought for marginalized groups and communities like African Americans, women, families and the poor. Now, less than 20 days away from the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, Waters, who is running for reelection, reminds us that there’s more work to be done and she’s putting on her boxing gloves and stepping into the ring to finish.

Trump Leads by Division, While Biden Leads by Multiplication
As the presidential campaigns heat up, Americans are provided with a stark choice of leaders. The visits to Kenosha of Donald Trump and Joe Biden provide clear contrasts for all to see.

“The United States of America stands on the brink of collapse…”
Democrats must ace the agenda test
In last week’s Democratic National Convention, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris passed the character test. Now as Trump rolls out his virtual convention, they must ace the agenda test. They need to argue the case for the bold agenda that this country desperately needs, and challenge Trump for his policy failures.

HOW WE DEFEAT TRUMP’S PLOT AGAINST THE USPS
The last day to register to vote by mail is Monday, October 19, 2020, but, I would encourage everyone considering voting by mail to do it NOW, rather than wait until the last minute. You can register at your local post office, on-line and at numerous locations throughout the county of Los Angeles, including at the Los Angeles Sentinel offices.
